Paul H. Dué
Paul H. Dué was a nationally acclaimed trial lawyer and was selected as the Best Lawyers® 2015 Personal Injury Litigation “Lawyer of the Year” for Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Paul retired effective February 1, 2016 and passed away in 2022.
Paul was selected for inclusion in: The Best Lawyers in America® every year between 1995 – 2016, with 2016 including the practice areas of Personal Injury Litigation- Plaintiffs, Product Liability-Plaintiffs, and Admiralty & Maritime; Louisiana Super Lawyers-Personal Injury Plaintiff (2007-2016) ; and Paul is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Paul was also selected by Best Lawyers® as the Personal Injury Litigation 2009 & 2015 “Lawyer of the Year” for Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Paul was also a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers.
Paul Dué was raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and began his career as a lawyer after finishing first in his law school class at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1966.
Paul H. Dué served as an Associate Professor at Southern University Law School, President of the Louisiana Association for Justice (formerly the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association), and on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice. Paul has been a frequent speaker at continuing education programs, and has authored articles in numerous publications including TRIAL, The Maritime Lawyer, Louisiana Bar Journal, Louisiana Advocates, Louisiana Law Review, Insurance Counsel Journal and Am.Jur. Proof of Facts. Paul has been profiled or has received national attention for his efforts in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The National Law Journal and numerous local papers.
